What an amazing week full of sport and fun we had at Jumping Jong West Brabant in Etten-Leur!

The week kicked off on Wednesday with Fleur & Koen competing with the young horses, earning the first ribbons right away. On Thursday, it was Siebe’s turn. He won the 1.30 m class with Gem vd Riloo and placed 5th and 7th in the same class with Plopsa Blue Z and Karamella.

On Friday, Siebe claimed victory in the 1.40 m class with a jump-off and won an RS Jumps obstacle with Kobalt! On Saturday, he competed in the 6-year-old class with Pippa Blue Z (full sister to Plopsa Blue Z) and secured a strong 2nd place.

Sunday was all about the finals. The first class was the small final 1.35 m, where Siebe won after a fast jump-off with Karamella, earning a director’s chair from One Equestrian. In addition to the small final, Siebe also competed in the National Grand Prix 1.45 m of Etten-Leur. After an exciting jump-off, he won the class with Estoril du Cèdre and placed 3rd with Kobalt. This marked his very first Grand Prix victory, with a two-horse trailer as the grand prize!

We look back on an incredibly successful week. Unfortunately, this was the last-ever edition at the beautiful Etten-Leur showground, as the venue will be demolished next year. We hope JWB finds a new location for the 2024 edition.
