What a week with ups and downs! While things didn’t go well with Karamella and Gem van de Riloo in the final of the Dutch Championship for Juniors, everything came together in the Young Riders final!

After the qualifiers, Siebe was in medal position on Saturday for the juniors. He stayed faultless in the first round with both horses, and the outlook remained unchanged. However, in the second round, he had 1 fault with Karamella and a very costly time fault… Without that time fault, he would have been third and earned a bronze medal! It was a tough day with some setbacks.

On Sunday, we rode the final for the Young Riders. Here, we weren’t aiming for a medal and rode for extra experience. After riding two tough rounds with both horses, Kobalt and Estoril du Cèdre, things suddenly turned around in the final standings! Siebe and Kobalt became Dutch Young Riders Champions, and Estoril du Cèdre earned a silver medal in the final standings! Unfortunately, this result didn’t count for the medals, as you can only win one medal…
