Today, after 17 wonderful years, our family horse Uraniet has left the stable to enjoy her well-deserved retirement at the age of 23!

She arrived at the stable at the age of 6 to train and participate in the mare test, which she passed with high scores!

Over the years, she successfully competed with Koen up to the 1.50m level. At the age of 17, Uraniet became the perfect teacher for Fleur.

With Koen, Uraniet won countless competitions up to 1.45m. She was an expert in jump-offs and derbies; she won the Derby of Breda, where they won a car, and achieved 4th place in the 1.50m Derby at CSI Eindhoven.

After her sports career, Uraniet became an amazing mother to her foals. She had her first foal at the age of 3, and that mare became the mother of Siebe’s top horse Kobalt, who recently became the Dutch Champion Young Riders and finished 2nd in the 2* 1.45m LR Grand Prix in Lier.

In 2019, she became a mother again, this time to a colt by Untouchable, followed by a filly by Chactino in 2020, a filly by Grandorado in 2021, a colt by Eldorado vd Zeshoek in 2022, and this year a colt by Don’t Touch Tiji Hero.

After these 13 years, we would like to thank Mrs. van den Berg for trusting us with her wonderful mare. She has brought us so much joy and countless precious memories. Thank you for everything, Uraniet! 💖
