Uraniet is an exceptional mare in her own. She has been with us at the stables for more than 17 years, during which she won numerous prizes and, in her later years, produced outstanding foals. The attitude Uraniet possesses is rarely seen. She is a true fighter with tremendous perseverance, something we have hardly ever witnessed in other horses.

Uraniet is extremely sharp over the fences, with a wonderful shoulder and an excellent foreleg! Together with Koen, she achieved multiple derby classifications, including a third place in the 1.50m Derby of Eindhoven. She also won the Derby of Breda, where she even took home a car! In addition, she collected an incredible number of prizes up to the 1.45m level.

She was also, for a short time, the perfect teacher for Fleur, with whom she won nearly every class they entered. At the age of 16, in consultation with her owner, we decided that it was time for Uraniet’s well deserved retirement from the sport. She then started her years on the field producing foals. Her oldest offspring is the dam of Siebe’s top horse, Kobalt (Harley VDL). On top of that, she gave us five more foals. The eldest is now six years old and is currently trained at the 1m20 level.

Another one, Calciet Z, a five-year-old daughter of Chactino, has already proven herself. In 2024, she placed third in the overall ranking of the Youngster Competition, after which the jury remarked that she is a horse destined for the higher levels. Her other three offspring are still out in the field.
